472 CAM - The 472 Reaper is a great all-around camshaft. The 472 is for the rider looking for a little more than our 465 grind and wanting a quick and easy bolt-in installation. The 472 has a great bottom end with substantial gains above 2,800 RPM when compared to stock. Responds very well to increased bore and or compression, exhaust system and air cleaner.

Use of performance valve-springs is not required but may result in a quieter, smoother running valve-train (Feuling #1107 or #1108)

472 Reaper Cam Specs

Intake: .468 Valve Lift, 8 Open, 25 Close, 213 Duration @ 50, .117 lift @ TDC, 98.5 Lobe Centerline

Exhaust: .472 Valve Lift, 50.7 Open, 7.75 Close, 238 Duration @ 50, .110 lift @ TDC, 111.5 Lobe Centerline

Overlap: 16

*Cam specs measured in the engine on the lifter @ 0.050 using a 1.61 rocker arm ratio

 

NOTE: Due to the unstable nature of this 4-valve engine design with one rocker arm activating two valve springs, Feuling highly recommends running one-piece pushrods (Click here PART #0928-0091) over quick-install adjustable pushrods to maintain maximum cam/valve lift and reduce valvetrain harmonics and associated hydraulic lifter issues.

NOTE: Feuling fastener kit (Click here PART #2401-0994) also highly recommended to help prevent cylinder head cracking; kit replaces the rocker shaft bolts with studs and nuts to help reduce the stress of the rocker shaft standoffs.
