We are very sorry to inform you that the part you ordered is on back order from the manufacturer. Please read below for an in depth explanation of how backorders work. We apologize for the inconvenience & will do everything we can to get the item to you as quickly as possible. Our website does not list inventory because it is currently technically impossible to do so without limiting the suppliers we use to source parts. Sometimes one brand can be sourced from five different suppliers or our own inventory and at this time there isn’t a way to tie everything together.
BEFORE YOU E MAIL TO CANCEL
You may cancel your order at any time as long as it hasn’t come off of backorder. If an item is backordered it is because it’s a national backorder that goes directly to the manufacturer. If you cancel, you are removing your spot in line. We allocate our backorders first come, first served so you own your spot in line. In most cases with national backorders this is the fastest way to get the part. We strongly recommend you check other suppliers and ensure they actually have the item before getting out of line. We are happy to cancel if you find the part elsewhere, but if you are cancelling because you don’t want to wait unfortunately you are still going to wait, only you won’t be in line.
PAYMENT
-If you made your purchase with a credit card, we only charged your card $1 to keep you in line for the next one that becomes available. If you check your account and see it shows the full amount has been taken it is because your card was pre-Authorized for the full amount. Depending on your bank it may take 1-3 days for the pre-authorization to fall off and the $1 charge to show.
-If you paid with PayPal or Affirm, we had to capture the full amount - they do not give us the option to only partially charge you. If you do want to wait and only want to be charged the dollar, we can refund your PayPal or Affirm payment and charge a card instead.
-If there was another item that you were thinking about switching to, let us know and we can certainly check availability on it for you so that you can get something in your hands sooner! If you decide at any point you no longer want to wait for the part, we can cancel the order for you as long as it's already not in transit to us or to you.
Again we apologize for the inconvenience. Our industry and our company has seen explosive growth over the last few months and that coupled with Covid-19 related closures has resulted in backorders levels we haven’t seen since we started in 2004. Please understand that every backorder is an order that we don’t actually make money on. Once the part is ready we get paid, but until then we’re working on orders that could potentially be canceled at any time and the only reason we do this is because it is the best way for people to get what they ordered, even if it’s not as soon as they would like.
If you want to know more about why backorders occur, you can find out everything you need to know on our website. Go to our homepage and scroll all the way to the bottom, click on the "Returns & Policies" link and then scroll down until you see the "Backorder" section. If you still have any additional questions that we didn't answer, feel free to contact us in the form below.
