OptiMate 10 watt Weatherproof Solar Charger

OptiMate Solar Weatherproof Charger

The smart, 24-7 battery care solution powered by the sun. Converts the low power from the solar panel to high current pulses for more effective charging and maintenance of a 12V battery. OptiMate Solar does it differently: the solar panel is where the sun is and the smart pulse charger is where the battery is, so you have immediate information on battery condition at hand right where it matters most. Low-volt start of 1V

• Ideal for EFB, STD, AGM and gel 12V batteries from 2Ah-240Ah
• 14’ of cable separates the charger from the panel, with SAE to SAE interconnection providing the option of extending further
• 10 watt high-efficiency solar panel with 12V controller Length 40 inches
• Can withstand temperatures down to -4°F
• Standard battery clip set, solar panel, weatherproof charge controller case and battery lead included
• For lead-acid and lithium batteries

When night falls, or if the smart charger-monitor senses no solar power is being delivered, it changes into a battery monitor, with one of the three charge status lights now indicating battery status every three seconds.

When the panel receives sun, the SOLAR CHARGE light blinks, confirming solar power is being delivered, and one of the three battery status lights indicates charge progress. The 4-LED panel provides comprehensive information on charge progress and battery status. This solar charger is ‘the ‘brain’ in the new line of OptiMate Solar modular charge kits.

Founded in Belgium in 1994, tecMate has grown to become a world leader in the development and manufacturing of professional battery charging, battery testing and engine troubleshooting and tuning tools for the powersports industry. Their knowledge led to the design of the OptiMate battery charging method that can save and restore AGM, GEL and standard lead-acid batteries that have ceased to work through neglect. They also developed technologies to charge, test and maintain the new lithium (LiFePo4) batteries.
