Baseplate Features:
Mustang Softail seats will fit all Softail models except 1999-earlier FLSTS Heritage Springers. All Seats are built on 16 gauge formed steel baseplates. A welded nose tab clips into the frame mount behind the gas tank. The baseplates have rubber supports at contact points and carpet to protect the fender.

Two Piece Baseplates:
Mustang Softail solos have two removable side brackets that align with the large threaded holes in all Softail frames. When the solo and pad are assembled, the side brackets on the solo can be removed and the seat mounted with just the single rear screw. All pads are connected to the solo with two hidden screws.
